Posi-Joists

At Glosford we manufacture and supply a full range of the MiTek open web ‘Posi-joist’® Floor Beams.

The Posi-Joist system combines timber and nailplated steel webs that when combined into a beam create a uniquely long spanning member that has integral voids that allow simple passage of all service ducting, wiring and plumbing.

They have a wider top and bottom surface due to the timber used which will be a minimum of 75mm but could be as large as 150mm. This means more stability when installing and much more surface to fix the floor and ceiling covering to.

They are lightweight and easy to install as every floor is predesigned, manufactured to length and comes with detailed drawings and fixing information. Each floor will also have full calculations available for Building Control approvals.

Posi-joists come in various sizes and can span to much greater lengths than conventional solid timber of a similar cross section.
