"Glosford supplies 50’ trusses to new office block in Bristol"

A recent project with Bristol Contractors Sharemills included large span trusses which were a first for new company Glosford Timber Solutions.

All trusses and associated materials were supplied on time complete, with detailed A1 layout drawings.

Glosford Timber Solutions were called on recently to assist a timber frame company meet it’s tight deadlines with a Posi joist order of over 100 joists all priced, designed, manufactured and delivered in under 5 days.

Glosford helps with new visitor centre in the Wyre Forest

Glosford Timber was asked to supply exposed feature trusses in 200 x 100 sections as part of a large discovery centre development in the Wyre Forest. Following extended consultations it was agreed that these would be fabricated off site at the Glosford factory in Hereford.

Each truss weighs in at over 300 kg and will support purlins and rafters at 2.5m centres providing the ideal open roof design for a project of this kind. "Basically this has given us the idea to offer this type of prefabricated design to similar projects where customers want to expose the timber trussed rafters but need a more competitive solution than specialist glulam bolted trusses or mortice and tenon type."
